This 50 cent 1/25 ounce pure gold coin celebrates the National flag of Canada’s 50th Anniversary with a gold coin that pays tribute to our National symbol:  the maple leaf. Mintage is 7,500 coins. As a pure gold coin struck by the Royal Canadian Mint, this item is HST/GST exempt.     

The Design:

Canadian Artist Pierre Leduc draws inspiration form the Canadian flag, as it flutters in the wind. From the center of the image a sugar maple emerges (the original inspiration for the Canadian Flag). Engraved on the front is the word “Canada,” the face value “50 cents” and the year “2015”.
