This $15 proof silver coin Year of the Ram coin is part of one of the most popular series issued by the Royal Canadian Mint.  The coins in this first Chinese Lunar series are all highly collectible today, with some coins appreciating to more than $500 in the secondary market.  

The design features all 12 animal symbols of the Chinese Lunar calendar encircling a 24 karat gold plated ram in the middle.  The coin is double struck in .925 sterling silver with a near flawless proof finish, and contains more than a full ounce of pure silver (34 grams gross weight).  Mintage of this popular coin was 53,714.
