The Design:

The pysanka design by Canadian artist Natalie Kit features a Ukrainian tree-of-life motif that symbolizes life and growth. An eight-pointed star tops the floral tree of life and represents the sun, while the basket base symbolizes the knowledge that promotes growth. Circular shapes form an infinity line and frame the tree of life. Below, the ribbon-like bands represent the unbroken thread of life and contain partial cross motifs. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
